Support Engineer – Electronics Equipment – Guildford
A growing multi-national engineering company is seeking a Support Engineer to join its Customer Support team.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role supporting the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of specialist electronic test systems, with opportunities to work on cutting-edge technologies.
What you'll do as a Support Engineer:
- Travel internationally to install, commission, set to work, and maintain electronic test systems at customer sites
- Provide technical support through telephone, email, and online meetings
- Diagnose and repair complex electronic circuits to component level, including through-hole and surface-mount devices
- Use oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, and other electronic test equipment to investigate and resolve faults
- Investigate customer issues, identify root causes, and communicate technical solutions and recommendations

What you'll bring as a Support Engineer:
- Practical experience in component-level electronic fault-finding and repair
- Strong hands-on experience repairing both through-hole and surface-mount electronic assemblies
- Ability to interpret circuit diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
- Experience using electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes and digital voltmeters
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
- Willingness to travel internationally, occasionally at short notice
- Experience supporting or commissioning complex electronic test systems at customer sites
