Call Handler

Join Tyneside and Northumberland Mind's Support Line Operators and provide compassionate, confidential, and non-judgemental listening support for people aged 16 and over living in Newcastle, Gateshead, and Northumberland.

The Support Line offers a safe space for individuals to talk openly about how they are feeling, whether they are experiencing emotional distress, loneliness, or simply need someone to listen. You’ll also provide information on mental health and wellbeing and, where appropriate, signposts people to local services that can provide further support.

Hours: Part-time, 12 hours/week
This role involves working a rota that includes evenings and weekends to ensure consistent support is available when people need it most. Flexibility to work across these hours is essential.

Based at: Fully remote - Occasional office work

Contract length: Temporary, 6-months – with potential for extension.

Salary: £8,186.88/annum
