Support Officer
The Environment Team is seeking an experienced individual to provide efficient and effective administrative support services.
The Environment Team delivers a range of services, including Grounds Maintenance, Street Cleansing, Sports Maintenance, and Play Areas. In this role, you will support all of these services while working within a team primarily focused on the delivery of Allotment and Cemetery services.
Based at our Wade Road Depot, you will undertake a variety of duties, including:
- Responding to customer enquiries and complaints on behalf of the Environment Team where the Contact Centre is unable to provide further assistance.
- Assisting with allotment administration, including undertaking site inspections and attending evening meetings with allotment groups and tenants.
- Assisting with cemetery administration, including booking burial services, and liaising with Funeral Directors, Monumental Masons, grave owners, bereaved families, and cemetery visitors.
- Providing administrative support to ensure Health and Safety compliance.
- Undertaking other administrative support functions, including raising purchase orders and invoices, and managing PPE orders and stock control processes.

This is a varied administrative and customer-focused role, and previous experience of working with customers is essential.
