Our Team
Our fantastic #TeamBordersCS is looking for Support Practitioners on a full-time and part-time, permanent basis. We also have relief opportunities too if you'd prefer something a bit more flexible.
Where You'll Work
We provide support across the Scottish Borders, including Galashiels, Hawick, Jedburgh, Melrose, St Boswells, Earlston, and Tweedbank.
About the Role
This isn't your average job, you'll be part of a friendly and dedicated team where teamwork and making a difference go hand in hand. You'll support adults in the Borders with a variety of disabilities and additional support needs, helping them to live their lives to the fullest.
From cooking meals together to smashing personal goals, trying new activities, you'll be part of moments that really matter. It's all about supporting individuals to enjoy their lives their way!

We'll Need You To Have

Shift Patterns
Because everyone we support is different, your shifts may be too:
- Shifts between 0715-2000 hours
- Weekends worked on a rotational basis
And Occasionally
- Later shifts for activities, concerts and shows
- Sleepovers to support holidays and trips away

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.
Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre-employment checks.
If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
