About the Role

We are delighted to offer 1.89wte posts to top support our specialist nurse teams in renal. The posts can be full time or slightly less than full-time. The posts will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to our specialist nurses and facilitate, support and coordinate the infrastructure required for the effective organisation of the specialist nurses within the Department of Renal.

Duties will include secretarial admin and audio typing. The post holder will need to be competent in a full range of IT packages including Outlook and Excel.

Key Duties

  • Communication and general secretarial duties (electronic calendar management)
  • Coordination of meetings
  • Managing and coordinating correspondence and sending appointments
  • Managing and updating patient database information
  • Collation of papers for clinics
  • Filing of reports (electronically)
  • Using renal computer (Vital Pulse)
  • Accessing and updating the EPR system with patient level details

About the Service

You would join an excellent, friendly and compassionate large Renal service that covers 1.6 million people, looking after over 1400 dialysis and transplant patients across a large geographical area including 4 trusts and 6 satellite renal centres in addition to our main hub unit at Royal Preston Hospital. Our specialist nurses work across Lancashire and South Cumbria providing support for advanced kidney care, anaemia, vascular, transplant and bone adequacy.
