About The Role

We are currently looking for a Support Technician to join our Brocklebank operation in Liverpool, supporting both the Crush and Refinery areas.

This is a varied, hands-on position supporting the day-to-day running of the plant and its operators. You will assist with operational activities, plant housekeeping and cleanliness, basic maintenance support and continuous improvement activities, while also providing additional operational cover when required.

A key part of the role is flexibility, as you may be required to provide cover during periods of long-term absence, training, plant shutdowns and start-ups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operation of the Crush and Refinery
  • Assist plant operators and the Manufacturing Coordinator with daily operational activities
  • Maintain high standards of plant cleanliness, housekeeping and audit compliance
  • Support the safe movement and handling of materials, products and chemicals across the operation
  • Identify and report maintenance and safety issues
  • Support continuous improvement activities across the plant
  • Provide operational cover during shutdowns, start-ups, training and long-term absence
  • Ensure safe working practices and site procedures are followed
  • Support wider plant activities as required

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • NVQ II in mechanical, chemical or process engineering and/or
  • Experience within a process, chemical or industrial manufacturing environment
  • Good understanding of working within an operational plant environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Good housekeeping standards
  • Ability to learn quickly and work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexible approach to working patterns, including providing operational cover when required
