Company Description
Veracity Systems is looking for a Support, Test & Deployment Engineer to join the technical team supporting VIEWSCAPE, our integrated command and control platform, along with other Veracity storage and display products.
The role is suited to someone with a strong technical foundation who enjoys solving problems and wants to develop deeper knowledge of integrated control-room systems. It may suit candidates from IT support, software testing, security installation, commissioning, or integrated systems backgrounds.
You will work across customer support, release testing, integration work, Factory Acceptance Testing, and project preparation, gaining a deeper understanding of VIEWSCAPE before supporting more site-based deployment and commissioning activity.
Role Description
This is a varied technical role covering product testing, customer support, and project deployment.
You will work closely with the development team to test new software releases, investigate issues found during testing, and support problems reported from live customer sites. You will also help prepare systems for Factory Acceptance Testing and support the deployment team with configuration, commissioning, and handover.
The role will include:
- Testing new VIEWSCAPE software releases before they are deployed to customer sites.
- Supporting Factory Acceptance Testing for customer projects.
- Investigating software issues, integration problems, and customer-reported faults.
- Working with the development team to recreate issues, provide clear fault information, and verify fixes.
- Supporting system integrators and end-users by phone, email, remote connection, and on-site.
- Assisting with system configuration, commissioning, upgrades, and handover.
- Working with Windows Server, SQL databases, virtual machines, IP networks, and connected devices.
- Testing integrations with cameras, VMS platforms, access control, alarms, analytics, and other third-party systems.
- Creating and improving test records, support notes, installation guides, and handover documentation.
- Supporting UK-wide deployment work as product knowledge develops.

What we are looking for
We are looking for someone practical, organized, and technically capable. You should be comfortable investigating problems, documenting what you find, and working with others to get issues resolved properly.
You should have:
- Good knowledge of IT systems and IP networking.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows desktop and server environments.
- An understanding of SQL databases, including basic querying, checking data, and helping diagnose database-related issues.
- A logical approach to fault finding and problem-solving.
- Good attention to detail when testing software or documenting issues.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to work with customers, engineers, developers, and internal teams.
- A willingness to travel within the UK when required.
- A full UK driving license.
Experience in any of the following would be useful:
- Software testing, release testing, or regression testing.
- Factory Acceptance Testing.
- Microsoft SQL Server.
- Hyper-V or other virtualization platforms.
- CCTV, VMS, PSIM, access control, alarm systems, or integrated security systems.
- IP cameras, ONVIF, or video recording systems.
- Technical support for software or networked systems.
- Writing test notes, fault reports, support guides, or handover documents.

Security requirements
The role may require access to secure customer sites. Employment will therefore be subject to Veracity’s standard background screening process and any customer-specific security clearance requirements.
