Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Support Worker role based in Leicester. The Support Worker will provide person-centered care and support to individuals in their homes or supported living environments, including assistance with personal care, daily living activities, and promoting independence.

Responsibilities include:

- Supporting service users with medication prompts (where appropriate)
- Meal preparation
- Household tasks
- Engaging them in social and community activities
The role involves monitoring wellbeing, following care plans, maintaining accurate records, and promptly reporting any concerns or changes in needs. The Support Worker will collaborate with colleagues, healthcare professionals, and families to ensure safe, dignified, and compassionate care in line with safeguarding and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities to build trust, provide emotional support, and work effectively with service users, families, and colleagues.
- Candidates should possess safeguarding knowledge and an understanding of professional boundaries, confidentiality, and safe working practices in health and social care.
- Candidates should possess support work experience or a demonstrated interest in care roles, with the ability to deliver person-centered support and promote independence.
- Candidates should possess basic technical and digital skills to complete electronic care records, follow online care plans, and use communication tools or assistive technology as required.
- Candidates should preferably hold a relevant care qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care) or be willing to work towards one.
- Candidates should be able to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, and demonstrate reliability, empathy, patience, and resilience.
- Candidates should have the right to work in the UK; previous experience in homecare, supported living, or specialist care settings is an advantage.
