Job Description
As a Home Instead Support Worker, you will work for a company committed to making lives better for both our clients and our employees. We are looking for Support Workers who are kind, compassionate, and who truly want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients. As a Support Worker for Home Instead, you will provide a variety of non-medical services to help our clients remain independent in their own home. You will always have enough time to care as a Home Instead Support Worker, as our quality services allow a minimum visit time with clients of one hour.
You will have a passion for supporting others and pride yourself on delivering an outstanding service. You will be reliable, trustworthy, and respectful. You will enjoy building professional friendships and be comfortable in spending time in the company of others.

Support Worker Responsibilities:
- Providing companionship
- Assisting with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Preparing meals and supporting with nutrition and hydration
- Performing light housekeeping tasks
- Shopping and running errands
- Providing transportation to appointments or social activities
- Medication support
- Supporting clients living with dementia or other age-related conditions
- Monitoring wellbeing and reporting concerns to the Support team
Qualifications
- GCSE's preferred but non-essential
- Care Experience preferred but non-essential
- Full training will be given
However, it would be useful to have some experience of working in a care setting or interacting with older people. This could be personal experience of caring for a family member or voluntary experience.
Within this role, there will be opportunities for personal & professional growth and development. Your onboarding will include industry-leading induction and in-house training as well as paid e-learning modules. On completion of e-learning, you will be furnished with your Care Certificates, and if you so desire, we can consider enrolment on City & Guilds NVQ level courses.
Essential Requirements
- Valid Driving Licence and Reliable Vehicle
- Right to work in the UK - We sadly do not have the means to offer full or part sponsorship
