What You’ll Do

  • Supporting customers with day-to-day tasks, promoting independent living in the community through a combination of community-based and in-service support.
  • Encouraging independence and celebrating wins
  • Creating a safe, positive space where dignity and respect come first
  • Working collaboratively to empower our customers
  • Homelessness service (large 50 bed service)

You have

  • Passion to support our customers to live their best lives
  • Experience of caring for others, professionally or personally
  • The ability to work on your own initiative, staying calm and positive under pressure
  • Recognise every customer is different and adopt a flexible, personal approach, listening to understand their needs
  • A Level 2 diploma in Care or equivalent experience (or willing to study towards it)

The practical bits

  • Week 1: 7:00am to 3:00pm (short week due to weekend working), Week 2: 11:00am to 7:00pm, and Week 3: 9:00am to 5:00pm, with one weekend in every three worked as 12-hour shifts.
  • You'll work as part of a team of six full-time Support Workers.
  • You need an Enhanced with barring list (we pay)
  • You need to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle insured for business purposes
