Hours: Full-time available

Harley House Supported Living is looking for experienced and committed Support Workers to join our team.
We provide safe, sound and supportive care, working alongside the people we support to enable them to make their own choices, develop their independence and have control over their own lives.
Due to the needs of the people we support, previous experience in a care or support role is essential.
This is a rewarding role where every day is different. You could be supporting someone to attend an appointment, access the local community, prepare a meal, go shopping, develop their independence, take part in activities or work towards their personal goals.
About The Role
As a Support Worker at Harley House Supported Living, you will:
- Support people to live as independently as possible and make their own choices and decisions.
- Follow individual support plans, risk assessments and agreed care approaches.
- Promote dignity, respect, choice, independence and positive risk-taking.
- Support people to access the local community and participate in work, leisure, social, religious and cultural activities.
- Support with cooking, shopping and maintaining a clean and comfortable home.
- Provide personal care when required, including washing, bathing, shaving and toileting.
- Support people with their health and administer prescribed medication in accordance with training and procedures.
- Support people to achieve their individual goals and ambitions.
- Assist with the management of finances where required.
- Maintain accurate daily records using our digital care recording system.
- Act as a key worker and contribute to reviews of the experiences and quality of life of the people you support.
- Participate in daily handovers and communicate important information to colleagues.
- Recognise and report changes in people's needs.
- Record and escalate accidents, incidents, near misses and safeguarding concerns.
- Work positively and professionally as part of a team.
- Follow all organisational policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements.

What we're looking for
Previous Care Or Support Experience Is Essential.
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in providing care or support to people with individual needs.
- Caring, compassionate, patient and respectful.
- Committed to person-centred support and promoting independence.
- Confident following support plans and risk assessments.
- Able to recognise and report safeguarding concerns.
- Reliable, responsible and professional.
- A good communicator who can work effectively as part of a team.
- Able to maintain accurate records and appropriate professional boundaries.
- Committed to protecting the dignity, privacy and confidentiality of the people we support.
- Willing to undertake mandatory training and continue developing their skills.

A full driving licence is essential for this role.
Driving is an important part of the position, as you may be required to support people with accessing appointments, activities, and the wider community.

Working pattern
Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the people we support. This includes working days, nights, evenings, weekends and bank holidays where required.
You will also be expected to work alternate weekends and participate in night shifts as part of the service's staffing requirements.
