About the Role
Manton Heights Abi unit are looking for a caring, compassionate and motivated Support Worker to join our Rehabilitation Unit. You will work as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, supporting patients with their recovery, rehabilitation and return to greater independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, respectful and person-centred support to patients.
- Assist patients with personal care, mobility and daily living activities.
- Encourage patients to participate in rehabilitation programmes and activities.
- Support patients to develop and maintain their independence.
- Observe and report changes in patients' physical or emotional wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided.
- Work closely with nurses, therapists, doctors and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Promote dignity, privacy, choice and equality at all times.
- Follow safeguarding, infection control, health and safety and other relevant policies.
- Provide reassurance and emotional support to patients and their families.

We are looking for someone who is:

- Comfortable supporting people with mobility and personal care needs.
- Able to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Willing to learn and develop their skills within a rehabilitation setting.

Previous experience in a healthcare, rehabilitation or care environment is desirable, although full training may be provided for the right candidate.
