Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for dedicated and experienced Support Workers to join our compassionate team at Yorkshire Community Care, supporting our client in the York area.
This is a highly rewarding role where every day you will make a real difference, helping someone live life to the fullest while developing your own professional and personal skills.
Duties
- Deliver personalised, high-quality care and support tailored to the client’s individual needs.
- Assist with daily living activities including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
- Administer medication and monitor health and wellbeing, responding appropriately to any changes.
- Support community access, accompanying the client on outings, ensuring accessibility and safety.
- Provide emotional support, encouragement, and companionship.
- Maintain accurate records of all care provided and report any concerns promptly.
- Work collaboratively with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.

What We’re Looking For
- 6 months Experience in Autism and Learning Difficulties
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Energetic, positive, and empathetic personality.
- Awareness of accessibility needs, including wheelchair-friendly routes, transport, and venues.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider care team.
- Shift Pattern- Mon- Sun 12 Hours a day- at least one alternate weekend
- Plus one sleep shift
- A calm, resilient, and proactive approach to complex situations.
- Someone who can bring warmth, humour, and creativity to the role.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (desirable but not essential).
