Company Description

JJR Care Ltd is a CQC-rated Good health and social care organization providing domiciliary care, supported living, and specialist healthcare recruitment across Essex and London. The company supports adults and children across a range of needs, including mental health, learning disabilities, dementia, physical and sensory impairments, and children aged 0–18. Its supported living service offers fully furnished accommodation with 24/7 on-site staffing for adults with mental health conditions, learning disabilities, and autism. JJR Care Ltd also supplies CQC-compliant agency staff to nursing and children’s homes on a temporary, permanent, and 1:1 basis, giving team members exposure to varied care settings. The organization is committed to high-quality, person-centered care and a professional, well-supported workforce.

Role Description

The Support Worker role at JJR Care Ltd is a full-time, on-site position based in Winchester. The Support Worker will provide person-centered care and practical support to individuals in their daily living, including assistance with personal care, meal preparation, medication prompts, and maintaining a safe, comfortable environment. The role involves promoting independence, supporting individuals to access local community resources, and encouraging social, educational, and recreational activities. The Support Worker will document care activities, follow care plans and risk assessments, and communicate effectively with colleagues, health professionals, and family members. The position also includes working to safeguarding standards, adhering to policies and procedures, and participating in training and supervision to maintain high-quality care.

  • Ability to provide compassionate, person-centered support, including personal care and daily living assistance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with individuals, families, and professionals.
  • Capability to follow care plans, maintain accurate records, and adhere to safeguarding and confidentiality requirements.
  • Reliability in working shifts, including evenings and weekends where required, and contributing positively to a team environment.
  • Basic IT and documentation skills to use care recording systems and communicate effectively in writing.
  • Experience or interest in supporting people with mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant health and social care training or a qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care) is an advantage.
  • Willingness to undertake mandatory training, enhanced background checks, and continuous professional development.
