About the Role
We are looking for caring, enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team in Fareham. This is a fantastic opportunity to support four amazing people to live happy, fulfilling lives in their shared home and local community.
This role requires a full UK manual driving licence, as supporting people to access their community is a key part of the role. You will be required to drive the service minibus for outings, appointments, shopping trips, and activities.

Role Details
You'll be supporting four friendly adults aged between 55 and 80 who live together in a welcoming home in a quiet area of Fareham.
Everyone we support has their own unique personality, interests, and support needs. Some people are able to walk around the home independently and enjoy household tasks such as laundry and cleaning, while others require more physical support. The people we support are a mixture of verbal and non-verbal communicators and live with a range of conditions including learning disabilities, autism, dementia, visual impairments, and hearing impairments.

The people we support enjoy getting out and about and making the most of what the local area has to offer. Some enjoy shopping trips to Gunwharf Quays, while others prefer a scenic drive in the minibus with a packed lunch. Music, spending time in the garden, visiting local parks and beaches, and taking part in meaningful activities are all things that bring enjoyment to daily life.
The house has a large garden with plenty of space for outdoor activities and BBQs, and there is a strong focus on creating a warm, happy, and engaging environment.
As a Support Worker, you will support people with all aspects of daily living, which may include personal care, moving and positioning, medication administration, community access, meal preparation, and helping people to participate in activities that are important to them. Most importantly, you'll support people to maintain their independence, make choices, and enjoy new experiences.
The service is staffed by three colleagues during the day and one sleep-in colleague overnight. Flexible shift patterns are available, including short shifts, long days, evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
About You
We are looking for someone who is kind, positive, reliable, and genuinely passionate about supporting people to live great lives.
You don't need previous care experience to be successful in this role as full training will be provided. What matters most is your attitude and values.
The Ideal Candidate Will Be
- A cheerful and engaging person who enjoys building meaningful relationships
- Patient, caring, and respectful of individual needs and preferences
- Creative and able to think outside the box when planning activities and support
- Comfortable supporting people with a range of disabilities and support needs
- Confident supporting people both at home and out in the community
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills
- Able to remain calm and positive in different situations
- In possession of a full UK manual driving licence and happy to drive a minibus

Training
In return, you'll receive a comprehensive induction including the Care Certificate, medication training, moving and positioning, aspiration, choking and dysphagia training, alongside any additional specialist training required to support the people who live in the home confidently and safely.
