Role Description
The Support Worker role at ESSEX CARES LIMITED is a permanent 30 hours per week on-site position based at Braintree Day Centre. The Support Worker will provide practical and emotional support to individuals, helping with daily living tasks, promoting independence, and encouraging social engagement in the community.

Responsibilities:


Get help with your application

- Assisting with personal care where required.
- Supporting service users to engage in activities.
- Monitoring wellbeing.
- Reporting any concerns in line with safeguarding procedures.
- Maintaining accurate records.
- Following care plans.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues and external professionals.
- Using relevant systems or tools to document support.
The Support Worker will contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment while consistently upholding the organization’s standards of care.
Qualifications
- Experience in Support Worker or similar care roles, with a commitment to person-centered support preferred—however, full training will be given.
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities to build trust and rapport with service users and colleagues.
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles and procedures, with the ability to recognize and report concerns appropriately.
- Basic technical support and comfort using digital tools or care recording systems to document and access information.
- Relevant care-related training or certifications (e.g., health and social care qualifications) are beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Braintree, follow structured care plans, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Reliability, empathy, and resilience when supporting people with diverse needs and backgrounds.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
