Position Title: Support Worker

Location: Banbury

Hourly Rate: £13.64 for day hours and £12.71 for sleep-in hours

Hours Per Week: Variable

Vacancy Type: Bank

Job Reference: SOLOWKS

ABOUT THE ROLE

I am a friendly, outgoing and active gentleman diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy, living independently in my own fully adapted flat in Banbury with the support of my dedicated care team. I also enjoy spending time with my family at weekends.

I am looking for caring and reliable Support Worker to join my established team and support me with all aspects of my daily life, both at home and out in the community. This includes assisting with personal care, preparing meals, moving and handling, administering medication and helping me to maintain my health, wellbeing and independence.

This role is about much more than providing care. You'll also support me to enjoy the things that are important to me, whether that's listening to music, meeting up with friends, or getting out and about in the community. Every day is different, and you'll play an important part in helping me live the life I choose.

ABOUT YOU

I'm looking for someone who is caring, reliable, and positive, with a patient approach and a genuine commitment to supporting others. You'll be a good communicator who is respectful, trustworthy, and able to work well as part of an established team. A calm nature and a good sense of humour are equally important, as companionship is a key part of the role and it's important that we get along well.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Experience supporting people with physical disabilities or complex care needs, particularly in their own home, would be an advantage, but it isn't essential. Full training will be provided, so what matters most is your attitude and willingness to learn. A good standard of spoken and written English is essential to ensure effective communication and the safe delivery of care.

Flexibility for the bank role is important, as the role involves a variety of shifts, including days and sleep-ins, together with occasional cover for annual leave and sickness when required.

BENEFITS

In return for your dedication, you'll receive a competitive rate of pay in addition to:

  • 5.6 weeks holiday per year (pro-rata for part-time positions).
  • Company pension scheme after 3 months service, subject to the scheme rules.
  • Opportunity to join our Cash Back Health Plan, after successful completion of the probation period.
  • Free training and development for all roles.
  • Access to wellbeing and support tools.
  • Star of the Month rewards.
  • And so much more!
