This vacancy is more than ‘just a job’.
Your role as a Support Worker will be to provide support to one woman to enable her to develop her ability to live independently at a pace that is appropriate to her.
This lady has been experiencing complex long-term disability, including autism, anxiety, depression and ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) and CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), and has recently moved to her own home.
Your role will be varied, as you will help her to stay organised in her home, undertake housekeeping, shopping, cooking and baking. As part of the role, there will be some intimate personal care duties involved.
You will help her to build her confidence, provide companionship and emotional support, share opportunities for fun (such as arts and crafts, trips out etc), enable her to join in local community activities and help with communications.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
