About the role

This is a rewarding and dynamic role where no two days are the same. You’ll be working to support the care needs of 3 adults with varying learning and physical disabilities.

You’ll be part of their support team and will spend your time helping them to enjoy activities, be active in the community, follow their hobbies and live a fulfilling life.

Each colleague has a 30 hours per week contract and this service offers:

  • 30 hour shifts including a waking night
  • Day Shifts: 8am-3pm, 3pm-10pm or 11am-6pm/12pm-7pm
  • Waking Night Shifts: 10pm-8am
  • Work-Life Balance – Rotas provided 6 weeks in advance.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Working as part of a passionate team to provide outstanding support.
  • Collaborating closely with family members and professionals to create a strong support network.
  • Encouraging community involvement, helping individuals engage in local activities.
  • Building essential life skills, including cooking, household tasks, managing finances, and medication administration.
  • Providing support in the community – from shopping and appointments to education and leisure activities.
  • Assisting with personal care as outlined in individual care plans.
  • Contributing to risk assessments and support plans, ensuring a safe and empowering environment.

Pay and Benefits

  • £13.45 per hour
  • Sleep-in rate: £62.64 per 8 hour shift.
  • Waking night rate: 20% Enhancement from 11pm to 7am
  • Social Care Wales registration is fully reimbursed
