Full Job Description
Join our supportive and passionate team at M&D Care as a Support Worker in our newly opening specialist residential service in Hirwaun and make a real difference in the lives of vulnerable adults. As a Support Worker, you will provide emotional and practical care in a residential setting. No experience is necessary as full training will be given, but having the right values is important to us. [THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE WORKING NIGHTS]. Joining our Specialist Services team means working with some of the most complex individuals we support. Previous experience in a similar setting and a proactive approach whilst following specific plans are highly valued. The ability to drive is essential for this post.

Role and Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to individuals with mental health needs and learning disabilities.
- Assist with daily living tasks including personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and shopping.
- Promote independence, dignity, and well-being through engaging and meaningful activities.
- Work autonomously while maintaining the safety and respect of those you support.
- Comply with regulatory standards set by Social Care Wales and Care Inspectorate Wales.
- Work flexibly on a rota basis, including early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Additional Information
- A variety of contracted hours available (22.5 to 45 hours per week)
- Shift patterns vary and include weekends and night shifts on a rota basis
- Opportunity to gain a QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care after probation, with full support and progression to QCF Level 3 if desired.
- Previous experience for this role would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given
