About the role
This welcoming bungalow, located in a quiet cul-de-sac in Ystrad Mynach, is home to four ladies with a range of support needs, including learning disabilities, autism and early-onset Alzheimer's.
As a Support Worker, you'll play a key role in helping the ladies achieve their personal goals, maintain their wellbeing and continue enjoying the activities they love such as swimming, Zumba, baking, arts and crafts, shopping trips and social groups.
No two days are the same, with support including:
- Supporting with personal care and medication
- Promoting independence with daily living skills
- Helping with meal planning and preparation
- Accompanying individuals to community activities and appointments
- Providing emotional support and encouragement
- Supporting with household tasks and maintaining a safe home environment
- Encouraging social interaction, hobbies and new experiences
Skills and Experience Needed
A background of working with people with physical or mental health needs is desired, but not necessary as full training and support from senior staff and management is provided.

Pay and Benefits
- £25,877 (£13.45 per hour)
- Sleep-in rate: £62.64 per 8 hour shift - approx. 1 per week
- Waking night rate: 20% Enhancement from 11pm to 7am
- Enhanced DBS which we will pay for
- Social Care Wales registration is fully reimbursed
