(REF: 313) 1 X Contracted Support Worker and 1 X Bank Support Worker – Cardiff
Position: Permanent
Location: Cardiff
Hours (Contract): 24.25 hours per week
Hours (Bank): Various hours available
Working Pattern
- 16.25 hours for wake shifts
- 8 hours for sleep shifts
- (7:45 am start to finish 8:00 am the following morning)
Bank & Contact
- Plus, extra hours available to cover leave.
- Flexibility on shifts to be discussed in interview.
Pay Per Hour
- £14.44 Weekday
- £15.64 Unsocial – Including Weekends and Bank Holidays
- £12.71 Sleep Rate

Our client is a young man with Cerebral Palsy who lives in his own home and has some physical and emotional support needs. He requires some prompting, supervision and practical support with activities of daily living, whilst being encouraged to maintain his independence and make his own choices.

A key part of the role will be to support him to engage in meaningful activities and interests, both at home and within the community, in accordance with his individual preferences and choices. You will be warm, patient and reliable, with excellent communication skills and a consistent, person-centred approach. Flexibility and an ability to recognise when to encourage engagement and when to respect his choices will be important within the role.

Essential Information
To join me as a Support Worker you will need to:
- Be willing to drive the client's vehicle
- Ideally have a good understanding of the needs of a client with Cerebral Palsy
- Enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team
