Support Worker
We are seeking caring, enthusiastic Support Workers to help adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs build rewarding lives in Manchester.
Position: Support Worker
Salary: £12.71 to £12.84 per hour, depending on qualifications, plus £67 per sleepover
Location: Manchester
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week.
Closing date: 23rd October 2026
About the role

You will work with adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs and additional complex needs, providing support that reflects their individual interests, wishes and goals.
From helping someone grow in confidence to supporting a favourite activity or day out, your work will help people enjoy greater independence and a full, enriched life.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering person-centred support that promotes choice, wellbeing and dignity.
- Helping people develop their independence and pursue their goals.
- Supporting enjoyable activities, including walking, cycling, music, films, sport and community outings.
- Working closely with colleagues to provide safe, consistent, high-quality services.
- Responding calmly and positively when people need additional support.

About you
You will bring energy, patience and an open-minded approach, alongside a strong commitment to respecting people’s choices.
You will be comfortable working as part of a team and able to stay calm under pressure while maintaining a sense of humour.
Experience of supporting people with complex needs and managing risk would be desirable. You will recognise each person’s potential and be determined to help them build a fulfilling life.
