Standard Nursing Agency is urgently seeking experienced Support Workers for the Ealing area.

We are looking for compassionate and reliable individuals to provide care and support to elderly Service Users with complex care needs in their homes or community settings.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience with PEG feeding
  • Stoma care
  • Safe use of hoists and other moving & handling equipment
  • Medication management
  • Epilepsy management
  • Catheter care
  • Ability to provide personal care with dignity and respect
  • Strong communication, professionalism, and reliability
  • Nursing background is desirable (but not essential)
  • Require minimum 1 year experience in Health and Social Care.
  • Report writing
  • Learning Disability & Autism Support
  • Managing Challenging Behaviour
  • Behaviour Management
  • Adult complex needs and disabilities
  • Good understanding of Safeguarding

Other Requirements

  • You must be eligible to work in the UK
  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Health and Social Care.

Main Duties

  • To undertake practical tasks as required, this may include, cooking, washing up, laundry duties and other related activities.
  • To assist the service user with domestic and personal care.
  • To assist in the identification of individual needs and ensure that appropriate support is provided to meet these needs.
  • To assist/enable service users to maintain high standards of health care and personal hygiene.
  • To report any incidents and complaints to your Line Manager.
  • To keep accurate records of individuals as laid down in policies and procedures
  • To undertake any task as required, in consideration for the changing needs of the service.
