About The Role

Support Worker – Rhos Cottage, Swansea

Full Time | £13.45 - £13.75 per hour (Dependent on Experience and Qualifications) | 39 hours per week + Sleep-ins

At Rhos Cottage, we support adults who have experienced trauma, mental health challenges, learning disabilities, or other support needs. As a Support Worker, you'll help create a safe, welcoming, and supportive home where the people we support can build confidence, develop independence, and achieve their personal goals.

What You'll Do as a Support Worker

  • Support adults with their emotional, social, and physical wellbeing, including personal care where required.
  • Be a positive role model and encourage independence, confidence, and life skills.
  • Join in activities such as sports, hobbies, community outings, and outdoor adventures.
  • Drive the people we support to appointments, activities, education, work placements, and community events.
  • Keep clear and accurate records and help maintain a welcoming home environment.

What You'll Need to Be a Support Worker

  • A caring and resilient personality.
  • Great communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
  • A full UK driving licence (essential).
  • The right to work in the UK with at least 12 months remaining on your visa (if applicable).
  • An Enhanced DBS check – as this role involves working with vulnerable adults, an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required. We will support you through this process.

No experience? No problem. If you have the passion to support adults to live fulfilling and independent lives, we'll give you the training you need to succeed as a Support Worker.
