Job Title: Support Worker at the Dick Stewart Service

Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in people’s lives? At the Dick Stewart Service, we provide supported accommodation for male ex-offenders, helping them transition back into the community after prison. Our dedicated team works around the clock, offering guidance on independent living skills such as budgeting, cooking, and self-care, while also supporting residents to engage with programmes that address offending behaviour.

Join our team and be part of a service that not only provides a safe space but actively empowers individuals to rebuild their lives. You’ll have the chance to work closely with people who are ready for a fresh start, helping them achieve their goals and prepare for life beyond our accommodation.

About the Role

As a Support Worker at the Dick Stewart Service, you will play a key role in assisting male ex-offenders as they transition back into the community. Working closely with clients, you’ll provide support in daily tasks such as budgeting, personal care, and developing independent living skills. You will also contribute to the creation and implementation of personalised support plans, working alongside senior staff to ensure each client receives the care they need.

This role requires you to work a flexible shift pattern, including day, evening, and sleepover shifts, ensuring 24-hour support for clients. You will participate in meetings, case conferences, and report writing, while assisting clients with appointments, life skills, and addressing personal challenges. Compassion, patience, and an understanding of the criminal justice system are key to success in this role.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
