About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Unsupervised Support Worker, to join 2a Court Road Milestones Trust. We are a not-for-profit charitable organisation.
We are recruiting for 2 Full Time Equivalent positions, days only, including bank holidays and every other weekend. Part time may be considered.

At 2a Court Road we support 15 adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. We are a unique service split into three houses accommodating 5 people on each with various support needs.

Responsibilities
As Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring individuals’ health and well-being
- Record keeping
- Personal care support
- Carrying out light cleaning duties
- Supporting with activities in the community
- Medication administration
- Daily cooking
Encouraging and enabling people we support to make day-to-day choices and major life decisions, signposting as appropriate, and to develop a positive self-image and maintain good health.
Supporting individuals to develop relationships to maintain contact with family and friends.

Requirements
The successful Candidate will have:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, service users and a range of stakeholders.
- A caring manner and a tolerant nature, experience within the sector is not essential as we will provide you with training required to carry out your duties.
- NVQ 2/ Diploma in Health & Social Care or be willing to train to an equivalent standard.
- An understanding of person-centred planning.
- Due to the location of the home and the need to access activities within the local community, it is preferred that staff can drive and be willing to drive the house cars (currently manual vehicles).
