We do not have sponsorships available. Flexibility and the ability to work a minimum of 30 hours a week is essential for this role. Hours of work: Days (Apply online only) hrs and Nights (Apply online only) hrs flexibility required.

Experience and Qualifications Required

Drivers with a UK Driver's Licence and 12 months UK Driving experience is required (with use of the family's car).

About the Role

Key Care & Support is looking for an experienced and passionate Support Worker to join our team to support Sammy in the family home based in Altrincham.

Key Responsibilities

  • Minimum of 2 years experience supporting adults with enhanced needs.
  • Sammy has Learning Difficulties, multiple medical needs, non-verbal, uses an iPad to communicate and hand signs, and can make his needs known.
  • You will be positive, person-centred, and committed to the highest standards of care and support.
  • Must be flexible to cover days and nights.

Key Care & Support is looking for a skilled and values-driven Support Worker to join the team to support Sammy, a 26-year-old man, to enable him to live a meaningful, active, and fulfilling life, while leading a staff team to deliver high-quality, person-centred support. Sammy has a great sense of pride in his appearance and a wide range of interests. He responds well to positive relationships, encouragement, and consistency. Sammy enjoys staying active, spending time in the community, and taking part in social activities such as live music events, discos, and karaoke nights.

The Role Involves:

  • Ensuring support is proactive, respectful, and focused on quality of life.
  • Ensuring a consistent and reflective approach.

  • Working collaboratively with Sammy's family and professionals.
  • Supporting Sammy to develop skills, make choices, and have a strong voice in decisions about his life, routines, and activities.

Sammy's Activities Include:

  • Jet washing the car
  • Simple food preparation and baking
  • Walks
  • Visiting Barton Aerodrome
  • Listening to music
