Role Description
The Support Worker role at VP Forensic Ltd is a full-time, on-site position based in Calverton. The Support Worker will provide person-centred support to individuals with complex needs, helping them to live as independently as possible and to achieve their personal goals.

- Assisting with daily living activities
- Promoting inclusion and engagement in the community
- Supporting rehabilitation plans
- Maintaining clear communication with individuals, families, and professionals
- Monitoring wellbeing
- Following safeguarding procedures
- Recording accurate support notes
- Contributing to multidisciplinary teamwork
Support Workers are expected to uphold the company’s values, follow care plans and risk assessments, and actively participate in training and continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Experience: Experience as a Support Worker or in a similar care or community support role, with an understanding of working with individuals with complex needs.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and communication abilities, including active listening, empathy, and clear verbal and written communication.
- Safeguarding: Knowledge of safeguarding principles and procedures, with a commitment to maintaining safety, dignity, and confidentiality.
- Support: Ability to provide practical and emotional support, including basic technical support for assistive technologies or digital care records.
- Qualifications: Relevant health or social care qualification (e.g., NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care) or willingness to work towards one.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexibly, including possible evenings and weekends, and to follow structured care plans and risk management strategies.
- Additional Experience: Training or experience in mental health, learning disabilities, brain injury support, or forensic settings is highly beneficial.
- Basic IT Skills: Basic IT skills, reliability in record-keeping, and a commitment to ongoing professional development and attending required training.
