Experienced Support Workers Required

Rotherwood Cares are currently recruiting for Experienced Support Workers to support young people within Supported Living services across the Liverpool area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people who may have experienced trauma, family breakdown, homelessness, exploitation, mental health challenges, or difficulties transitioning into adulthood.
We are looking for compassionate, resilient and motivated individuals who are passionate about empowering young people to develop the skills, confidence and independence they need to achieve positive outcomes.
The Role
As a Support Worker, you will work closely with young people aged 16+ living within supported accommodation, providing practical and emotional support tailored to their individual needs.
You will encourage independence while ensuring that young people remain safe, supported and engaged with education, training, employment and other positive opportunities.

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You will build positive relationships, act as a role model and support young people to work towards their individual goals and aspirations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting young people within their supported living placements
- Building positive and trusting relationships
- Promoting independence and life skills development
- Supporting with budgeting, cooking, cleaning and tenancy responsibilities
- Encouraging engagement with education, training and employment opportunities
- Supporting young people to attend appointments and access community services
- Working alongside social workers, personal advisors and external agencies
- Completing welfare checks and risk assessments
- Promoting safeguarding and responding appropriately to concerns
- Maintaining accurate records, daily logs and case notes
- Supporting young people to achieve outcomes identified within their support plans
- Managing challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience supporting vulnerable young people or adults within a care, support or housing environment.

Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Support Worker, Housing Support Worker, Residential Support Worker, Youth Worker or similar
- Experience working with vulnerable young people or adults
- Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends and sleep-ins where required
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
