Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Working Hours and Shift Patterns

You will ideally be able to work full time, 37 hours per week (but no less than 30 hours per week) working 5 days out of 7 on a rotating shift basis. Our home is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days per year, to meet the needs of our wonderful service users.

It is essential that you are able to work various shifts on a rota basis, including bank holidays and weekends:

  • Early: 7:00am to 3:00pm
  • Mid: 12:00pm to 9:15pm
  • Late: 1:30pm to 9:30pm
  • Waking Nights: 8:45pm to 7:15am (a bonus is also paid for waking night shifts)

Location: Ashland Road West, Sutton-in-Ashfield

Due to its location, local candidates or candidates who can drive are highly desirable, as public transport involves a 10-minute walk to the care home from the nearest bus stop during the early hours of the morning, making it unreliable for shifts starting at 7:00am. Our home is approximately 18 minutes' drive from Mansfield town centre.

If you would like to speak to our friendly management team at Ashland Road West about this post, please call us on 01623 575799.

NCHA strives to be a welcoming and inclusive employer and particularly welcomes applications from men, who are currently under-represented within our Care and Support department.

We may close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient interest.
