Support Worker in Fairbourne, Gwynedd
As a Support Worker in Fairbourne, Gwynedd, you’ll help make the everyday remarkable for the people we support.

Hours
We have both part-time and full-time hours. Please speak to us about the hours you are looking to do. Your shift pattern will include weekends and sleep-ins.
Salary
£13.59 per hour and our sleep-in shifts at £60 per night. Our travel expenses are paid at 55p per mile.

What you’ll be doing
As a Support Worker, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to someone’s life—supporting them to make their own choices, achieve their goals, and enjoy everyday life to the fullest. From choosing what to wear, what to eat, or how to spend their day, to bigger decisions such as managing their finances, deciding where to live, or planning a holiday, you’ll be there to provide encouragement, support, and reassurance while helping people live life on their own terms.

You’ll also support individuals to get involved in activities that build confidence, learn new skills, and discover new interests. This could be anything from helping around the home and paying bills, to getting out into the local community, keeping in touch with friends and family, or simply enjoying a cup of tea and a good chat.

No experience required as full training is provided. We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Have patience and empathy
- Can support a person with their intimate personal care with respect and dignity
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Are able to speak on behalf of others as well as to a range of professional people
- Have good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning
- Have a full driving license (essential for transporting individuals to appointments and activities)
- Have access to your own car and are happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities, as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle for which we pay 55p per mile to cover this
- Being fluent in Welsh is preferred so you can effectively communicate with Welsh-speaking service users and meet their cultural and linguistic needs.
