Support Workers – New Supported Living Service | Coventry

Protea Care Homes is opening a new Supported Living Service in Coventry and is looking for caring, reliable and experienced Support Workers to join our team.

Established in 1997, Protea Care Homes supports adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs and complex care requirements. We provide person-centred support focused on independence, dignity, choice and quality of life.

The Role

You will support adults with complex needs in a supported living environment, helping them develop independence, maintain wellbeing and participate in meaningful activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting daily living and life skills
  • Personal care where required
  • Medication and appointment support
  • Promoting independence and choice
  • Community access and activities
  • Monitoring wellbeing and reporting concerns
  • Maintaining accurate care records
  • Following safeguarding, health and safety procedures
  • Working with families, carers and other professionals

About You

We are looking for compassionate and dependable individuals with:

  • Previous care or support work experience
  • Experience of supporting people with mental health needs and/or learning disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A calm, patient and positive approach
  • Commitment to person-centred care
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a 24/7 rota
  • Full-time availability – 37.5 hours per week
