Support Worker Based in the outskirts of Ruthin in the village of Cyffyliog (Driver Essential)
About the Role:
We're on the lookout for a caring, down-to-earth Support Worker to assist a sociable and independent client with muscular dystrophy both at home and out in the community.
In this role, you'll support one individual with complex needs, working regular weekly shifts to build a consistent, trusted care team. While hours are usually stable, the position is offered on a zero-hours contract as care packages can change.
Here's what he says about the kind of support he's looking for:
"I'm all about getting out and making the most of life whether that's catching a gig, flying my drone, enjoying a pint at the pub, or watching the latest blockbuster. I need someone reliable, friendly, and up for joining in. Flexibility is key... especially when the music calls."
What you'll be working:
- 2 day shifts a week available (we do have more shifts in packages nearby to boost hours if interested)
- 8am - 6pm
- Flexibility to work extra shifts if required

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
