ILS & Sustainment Engineer
Location
Hampshire, 1 day a week.
Salary
Up to £47,500 plus package.
Copello have partnered with an established engineer in the recruitment of an ILS & Sustainment Engineer to provide technical assurance across asset management, lifecycle support and sustainment strategies within a complex engineering environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide independent technical assurance across ILS, asset management and sustainment strategies.
- Assess reliability, availability, maintainability, spares, repair and support assumptions.
- Identify obsolescence, supplier and through-life support risks and recommend mitigations.
- Produce technical analysis, confidence assessments and decision-ready reporting.
- Support lifecycle reviews, asset refresh programmes and governance activities.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, projects, supply chain, logistics and service teams.
- Apply data analytics and digital tools to improve sustainment insight and reporting.

About you
- Degree or relevant professional qualification in Engineering, Science or a related discipline.
- Experience in ILS, asset management, sustainment or supportability engineering.
- Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle and service management principles.
- Experience analysing reliability, availability and maintainability data.
- Strong Excel skills and experience with reporting/data analysis tools such as Power BI.
- Experience working within a project-focused engineering environment.
- Understanding of obsolescence, supplier risk and whole-life costing.
- ILS or Asset Management qualification desirable.
- Experience within defence, aerospace, aviation or another highly regulated engineering environment would be advantageous.
