Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney is a homelessness charity and one of 29 Emmaus community offering a home alongside meaningful work in social enterprises, enabling people to regain confidence and build self-esteem without time limits. The Norfolk & Waveney community is based in Ditchingham and supports up to 32 people through residential accommodation and work opportunities.
Role Description
The Supported Accommodation Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bungay, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of supported housing for companions. This role includes managing referrals and assessments, coordinating move-ins and move-ons, and ensuring that each resident has a clear support plan focused on wellbeing, personal development, and long-term stability. The manager will lead and supervise staff and volunteers, maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance with relevant housing and support regulations.

Daily tasks include liaising with external agencies, monitoring occupancy and performance data, managing budgets related to accommodation services, and responding promptly to any issues affecting residents or properties. The role also involves contributing to the wider Emmaus community, supporting meaningful work opportunities for companions, and promoting a positive, inclusive, and empowering environment.

Qualifications
- Experience in supported accommodation, housing management, or homelessness services, with strong knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation.
- Skills in staff supervision, team leadership, and collaboration with volunteers and external partners.
- Ability to develop and implement individual support plans, including risk assessments, goal-setting, and ongoing review.
- Competence in managing records, using case management or housing systems, and maintaining accurate documentation for compliance and reporting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, handle sensitive issues, and work with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills, including managing multiple priorities, responding to emergencies, and maintaining service quality.
- Basic financial and administrative skills, such as monitoring budgets, handling petty cash, and supporting income and funding-related processes.
- Experience in or commitment to the voluntary sector, social enterprise, or community-focused work, with an understanding of trauma-informed and person-centered approaches.
- Relevant qualification in social care, housing, support work, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a similar
