James Andrews is proud to be working with a charity in Oxford who are looking for an interim Supported Housing Operations Manager on a three-month contract.

This candidate will have Housing Manager’s reporting to them, so we are looking for a candidate that has ideally worked at Head of Service level within Supported Housing.

You will be required to work at the offices in Oxford two - three times a week.

The appointed candidate will be responsible for the effective, safe and compliant delivery of supported housing services for vulnerable residents, many of whom are people with mental health needs.

The role provides operational leadership across housing management, tenancy sustainment and housing-related support, ensuring services are person-centred, trauma-informed and aligned with the organisations values, legal and regulatory requirements.

The range of functions which are covered include:

• Develop and embed best practice in housing management and mental health-informed support
• Ensure robust tenancy management processes, including rent collection, arrears management, dealing with antisocial behaviour and enforcement (where necessary) are in place
• Ensure compliance with housing legislation, regulations, local authority requirements and funder expectations
• Promote a strengths-based, recovery-focused approach to supporting residents
• Work collaboratively with Service Delivery on move-ins, move-ons and planned exits, ensuring effective pathways and minimal voids
• Ensure resident involvement and feedback informs service improvement
• Work collaboratively with Service Delivery to manage complex cases, risks and safeguarding concerns
• Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, commissioners, housing partners, health services and community organisations
• Comply and remain up to date with all safeguarding policies and procedures for both Adults and Children and Young People
