Supported Housing Officer
Location: Lewisham, South East London
Salary: £30,090.11 per annum, rising to £30,992.81 after successful probation
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, worked on a rota

The Role
Quo Vadis Trust is looking for a Supported Housing Officer to join our team in Lewisham.
We are a specialist housing charity supporting around 200 adults across South East London, including people experiencing mental health challenges, homelessness, complex needs, or leaving care.
You will manage your own caseload, building trusted relationships with clients and helping them work towards realistic goals around their wellbeing, housing, and independence.
No two days will be exactly the same. You may be welcoming a new client, completing a risk assessment, helping someone understand their benefits, supporting a move-on plan, or dealing calmly with a difficult situation.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and provide key-working support to an allocated caseload
- Create support plans and SMART goals with clients
- Complete inductions, risk assessments, and accurate client records
- Support clients with housing, welfare benefits, and tenancy matters
- Encourage independent living, housekeeping, and everyday life skills
- Carry out room, property, and health and safety checks
- Respond professionally to incidents, challenging behavior, and safeguarding concerns
- Liaise with external agencies and other professionals
- Travel between QVT services when required

The Person
You will need:
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team
- Empathy, patience, and resilience
- Awareness of the challenges faced by people experiencing mental health difficulties
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and client databases
- The ability to remain professional under pressure
- Flexibility to work within a 24/7 rota when required
Experience within supported housing, mental health, homelessness, or similar services would be an advantage.
An Enhanced DBS check is required and will be funded by QVT.
