Supported Housing Officer - £12,036.04 - £12,397.12 after successful probation – Lewisham

The role
Quo Vadis Trust is looking for a part-time Supported Housing Officer to join its Lewisham team.
This is a practical, people-focused role where no two days will be exactly the same. You will support adults with mental health conditions and complex needs, helping them manage their tenancy, build everyday living skills and work towards greater independence.
You will manage your own caseload and develop positive, professional relationships with clients. By listening, encouraging and setting realistic goals, you will help each person take meaningful steps towards recovery and moving on.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and key work an allocated caseload.
- Create support plans, risk assessments and SMART goals.
- Welcome new clients and guide them through their induction.
- Offer advice on housing, tenancy sustainment and welfare benefits.
- Support clients with practical daily living and housekeeping tasks.
- Complete property, room and health and safety checks.
- Respond calmly to incidents, crises and challenging behaviour.
- Keep clear and accurate client records.
- Report maintenance concerns and follow up where needed.
- Work closely with colleagues, volunteers and external agencies.

Quo Vadis Trust is a specialist housing charity supporting around 200 adults across South East London.
We provide homes and support for people affected by mental health issues, rough sleeping and care experience. Our work is centred around promoting recovery, maximising independence and building stronger communities.

The Benefits

The person
You will be patient, approachable and able to communicate clearly with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
You will also need:
- GCSE-level English and Maths, or equivalent.
- Customer service experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence using Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Resilience and the ability to remain professional under pressure.
- Flexibility to work unsociable hours when required.
Experience in supported housing, mental health or a similar environment would be advantageous.
