Role Description

The Supported Living Manager – Level 5 Qualified is a full-time, on-site role based in the Middlesex Area, United Kingdom. The role involves overseeing day-to-day operations of supported living services, ensuring safe, high-quality care and compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Leading and supervising support teams
  • Managing rotas
  • Conducting staff supervisions and appraisals
  • Supporting recruitment, induction, and training
  • Developing and implementing person-centered support plans
  • Coordinating risk assessments
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Liaising with families, local authorities, and healthcare professionals
  • Monitoring budgets
  • Contributing to service development
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive culture within the service

Qualifications

  • Possession of a relevant Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care, Leadership in Care, or an equivalent management qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience managing supported living or similar care services, including team leadership and supervision responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of person-centered care, safeguarding, risk management, and compliance with UK care regulations and standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with individuals, families, multidisciplinary teams, and external agencies.
  • Proficiency in basic IT and record-keeping systems, including writing reports, maintaining care documentation, and managing rotas.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and make informed decisions that support service users’ safety and wellbeing.
  • Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion, with a respectful and professional approach to all service users and colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work across shifts when required, including participation in an on-call rota to support service continuity.
  • Experience in staff training and development, performance management, and fostering a positive team culture is highly beneficial.
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom and willingness to undergo necessary background and safeguarding checks.
