Job Description

About the Role

We are recruiting compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join our supported living services, including packages supporting individuals living with dementia.

You will help individuals live as independently as possible, supporting them to develop confidence, maintain everyday living skills and enjoy meaningful, fulfilling lives.

Pay and Benefits

  • £13.50–£13.70 per hour

Shifts Available

  • 7:00am–9pm
  • 9pm-7:00am Waking nights
  • 11am-6pm

What You’ll Be Doing

Every day will be different, but your responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting individuals with personal care and medication
  • Helping people maintain and develop everyday living skills
  • Supporting with cooking, meal preparation and household tasks
  • Promoting choice, independence, dignity and confidence
  • Supporting individuals to access the community, attend appointments and enjoy social activities
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Helping individuals work towards their personal goals
  • Liaising with families, colleagues and healthcare professionals
  • Completing accurate support records and reporting any concerns
  • Following individual support plans and delivering person-centred care

Requirements

You will need:

  • Previous care experience
  • A compassionate, patient and reliable approach
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to promoting independence and individual choice
  • Availability to work alternate weekends
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • The right to work in the UK

An NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care would be highly desirable. However, ongoing training and support to achieve these qualifications will be provided.
