SURF HSE Lead Services – VENUS Project (Offshore Namibia) – Based in London

πŸ“ Mission Context

The VENUS Deep Offshore Project is a key project for TotalEnergies, marking the first Oil & Gas facilities to be installed in Namibian waters, at a 3,000 m water depth, with uncommon reservoir characteristics and a CAPEX exceeding 10 BUSD.

The project involves the drilling and completion of 38 wells (19 producers, 19 injectors), representing a DRILLEX exceeding 3 BUSD, with approximately two-thirds required to be ready before the First Oil date.

The VENUS Project aims to maximize economic results by optimizing reserves, schedule, and costs, while reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and maintaining the technical quality of the installations, with high H3SE requirements and focus.

The role requires regular interaction with teams across multiple locations, including the Contractor's engineering office, the Contractor's yards, France, and Namibia.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer β€” it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β€” that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
