SAFETEST LTD is a flexible electronics manufacturing partner providing PCB assembly and production services, including looms, harnesses and cabinet assembly. We support customers from initial concept through to final delivery, tailoring our services to their project requirements with a strong focus on quality.
The role
We’re looking for an SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Machine Operator to join our production team. You’ll help deliver high-quality PCB assemblies by setting up, operating and monitoring our SMT equipment. Experience with Europlacer machines is preferred.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and operating SMT pick-and-place equipment.
- Loading components and feeders and supporting production changeovers.
- Monitoring placement accuracy, carrying out visual inspections and routine quality checks.
- Identifying production issues and making adjustments within your training, escalating when needed.
- Following work instructions, production schedules and ESD procedures.
- Carrying out basic equipment maintenance and keeping your work area clean and organised.
- Working with colleagues to meet safety, quality and production targets.

What we’re looking for
- Previous experience operating SMT equipment, ideally Europlacer machines.
- Experience in PCB assembly or electronics manufacturing.
- Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to solving problems.
- Ability to follow technical drawings and detailed work instructions.
- Confidence using appropriate hand tools and handling electronic components.
- Reliability, good communication skills and a positive approach to teamwork.
