Are you an ambitious medical device sales professional looking for the opportunity to make a real impact? We're looking for a driven, commercially focused Surgical Sales Executive to grow our market-leading portfolio of wound closure and surgical sealant technologies across NHS and private healthcare organisations.

Purpose of the Role
You will be responsible for driving profitable sales growth across your territory by developing existing customers, securing new business opportunities, and increasing adoption of our innovative surgical portfolio. Success in this role will come from combining excellent commercial skills with clinical credibility, outstanding account management, and a passion for delivering value to healthcare professionals.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Deliver Outstanding Commercial Results
- Achieve and exceed territory sales and growth targets.
- Build a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
- Protect existing business while identifying opportunities for further growth.
- Maximise product penetration across your territory.
- Successfully launch and grow premium innovation products.
Build Exceptional Customer Relationships
- Develop trusted partnerships with key decision makers including:
- Consultant Surgeons
- Theatre Managers
- Clinical Leads
- Procurement Teams
- Theatre Educators
- NHS Supply Chain stakeholders
- Become the recognised partner of choice by understanding customer needs and delivering tailored commercial and clinical solutions.
Grow Strategic Accounts
- Develop and execute territory business plans.
- Identify conversion, retention, and expansion opportunities.
- Create account-specific growth strategies.
- Develop flagship reference centres and centres of excellence.
- Build networks of clinical champions and product advocates.
Deliver Clinical Excellence
- Support product evaluations within theatre.
- Deliver engaging product demonstrations and clinical training.
- Lead successful product conversions.
- Promote evidence-based adoption of innovative wound closure technologies.
- Ensure customers receive outstanding ongoing education and support.

Commercial Planning & CRM Excellence
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline management.
- Record customer activity within the CRM system.
- Monitor account performance and proactively remove barriers to success.
- Work closely with your Surgical Sales Manager to maximise territory performance.
Market Awareness
- Stay ahead of competitor activity and market developments.
- Understand NHS procurement processes and local healthcare priorities.
- Identify emerging opportunities and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
Collaboration
- Work closely with colleagues across:

Together, you'll deliver seamless customer support and maximise commercial opportunities.

We're looking for someone who is commercially driven, customer focused, and passionate about healthcare innovation.
Essential
- Proven success in Medical Device, Healthcare, or Surgical Sales.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Commercially astute with a proactive approach to business development.
- Highly organised with excellent territory planning skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Reside in Newcastle/Leeds/Harrogate areas.
Desirable
- Experience selling into Operating Theatres.
- Knowledge of wound closure, tissue adhesives, or surgical sealants.
- Understanding of NHS procurement and healthcare pathways.
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
Additional Information
You must reside in Newcastle/Leeds/Harrogate areas.
