How you can make your mark

Make your mark as Survey Lead for Boskalis Subsea Services in Aberdeen. You will be accountable for the planning, coordination, and safe execution of survey activities across all Boskalis Subsea Services Limited (BSSL) projects and vessels, ensuring compliance with regulatory, industry (IMCA), and company (CMS) standards. As the primary interface between BSSL and all survey service providers, the role ensures that operational requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and effectively delivered.

The Survey Lead drives efficiency, quality, and value for money in survey operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and technical integrity in support of BSSL’s operational objectives.

In addition, the role is responsible for establishing and developing BSSL’s remote survey operations, enabling effective integration between offshore and onshore survey functions. This includes defining operating models, implementing standardised processes and QC frameworks, and supporting the development of training and competence systems to deliver scalable remote survey capability.

Your Responsibilities As Survey Lead

The main responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to;

  • Support the commercial department with tender opportunities, providing clear survey input and solutions
  • Support Crewing and Competence in maintaining a steady, well-qualified survey workforce via BSS’s survey provider
  • Support projects and clients in defining and delivering survey requirements across offshore and remote operations, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and delivery
  • Support equipment preparation to meet project requirements, including collation of pre-mobilisation audits and certification packages
  • Assume BSS’s survey provider’s project main point of contact when required
  • Develop and implement the BSS Remote Operations Centre (ROC) to support survey operations
  • Define and standardise processes for remote and hybrid survey delivery, including data QC, monitoring, and reporting
  • Integrate ROC capabilities into project execution in collaboration with internal teams and survey providers

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
