Zupt, LLC

Zupt, LLC (www.zupt.com), part of the Rosenxt Group (www.rosenxt.com), is based in Northwest Houston, Texas. We provide specialist survey, positioning, metrology, and inspection services to the offshore energy sector, using surveying and positioning technologies developed in-house.

With more than 20 years of experience, Zupt delivers complex offshore positioning, metrology, and surveying solutions to energy clients around the world. We are a small, technically focused company of approximately 25 highly skilled employees, where every individual plays a significant role in the success of our projects.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Survey Manager to support our growing portfolio of offshore survey, positioning, inspection, and metrology projects worldwide.

This is a full-time position that can be based in Houston, Aberdeen, mainland Europe, or potentially Southeast Asia. Depending on location, the successful candidate may be employed locally or engaged as an independent contractor.

The Survey Manager will plan and execute survey engineering activities, prepare technical documentation, support live offshore operations from onshore, analyze survey and QA/QC data, and work directly with clients and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.

This role is particularly suited to an experienced offshore survey professional who wants to apply their operational expertise in an engineering, technical support, and project management environment, with limited travel.

The role will require the successful candidate to spend a minimum of approximately 50 days per year in Houston, spread over several visits, for training, project coordination, and Houston based stakeholder engagement.

Candidates must have an unrestricted ability to travel to the United States and be able to obtain the appropriate short-term business visa or ESTA authorization, where applicable.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and support offshore survey and positioning projects.
  • Develop survey procedures, task plans, execution plans, work instructions, and technical reports.
  • Process, analyze, and QA/QC survey data during active offshore operations.
  • Provide real-time technical support to offshore survey teams during project execution.
  • Work directly with clients to understand technical requirements and agree project execution strategies.
  • Prepare JSEAs, Gantt charts, project schedules, and other project documentation.
  • Participate in metrology tooling design reviews and ensure tooling is appropriate and fit for purpose.
  • Coordinate procurement of survey and metrology tooling and monitor subcontractor and supplier deliveries.
  • Review project performance and capture lessons learned to support continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical mentoring and training to survey personnel as required.
  • Develop and maintain survey training materials and documentation.
  • Support the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System and HSE requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of Zupt's survey methodologies, procedures, tools, and technical capabilities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
