At Ocean Infinity, we're using technology to transform operations at sea, making them safer, more efficient, and more sustainable. We're a team of innovators, problem-solvers, and challengers who believe there is always a better way. If you're ambitious, collaborative, and excited by the opportunity to create meaningful change, we'd love to hear from you. Join us and help shape the future.

Role Overview

The Survey Performance Lead is accountable for how survey operations are performed, governed, measured, and improved. The role owns operational procedures, competency framework governance, operational assurance, Management of Change governance, performance reporting, lessons learned, and continuous improvement across the Survey function. It supports the three-pillar Survey leadership model by maintaining the operational performance system required for safe, consistent, and repeatable delivery. The Operational Lead Survey remains accountable for client delivery, business outcomes, workforce leadership, resource utilisation, and project execution performance. The Survey Technical Authority remains accountable for technical standards, technical baselines, methodologies, equipment standards, technical assurance, and technical risk acceptance.

Primary Accountability: Operational Performance Governance

  • Assess project performance and issues against survey operational procedures, work instructions, competency standards, performance requirements, and process controls to ensure they are being implemented and followed during operations.
  • Define and maintain the Survey operational KPI framework, including procedure compliance, competency compliance, audit finding closure, MOC closure, training effectiveness, lessons learned implementation, and continuous improvement benefits realised.
  • Coordinate operational assurance, audit readiness, audit finding closure, procedure compliance reviews, and quality management performance.
  • Govern the lessons learned process by ensuring operational feedback, recurring issues, non-conformances, incidents, and assurance findings are captured, assessed, prioritised, assigned, tracked, and embedded into controlled improvements.
  • Ensure changes to procedures, competency standards, operational controls, and performance requirements are assessed, approved, communicated, and embedded through controlled Management of Change.
  • Act as the operational governance interface between Survey Operations, Survey Technical Authority, Crewing, Training, Project Delivery, ROC leadership, vessel teams, and support functions.
  • Promote operational discipline, procedural compliance, competence, knowledge sharing, accountability, and continuous improvement across the Survey function.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
