Our Vacancy
As a Surveying and Disrepair Manager you will take ownership of our response to Awaab's Law, disrepair, damp and mould, and resident safety. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a high-performing surveying service that places residents at the heart of everything we do. You will play a critical role in ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, driving service excellence, and influencing strategic decision-making across the organisation. Working collaboratively with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders, you will help shape and improve services while developing a culture focused on safety, continuous improvement, and exceptional resident outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Lead the delivery of an effective and resident-focused disrepair and damp and mould service, ensuring compliance with Awaab's Law, Housing Ombudsman expectations, and all relevant legislation.
- Work closely with Repairs, Voids, Assets, Complaints, and Compliance teams.
- Oversee complex cases, manage performance, and ensure risks are proactively identified and mitigated.
- Responsible for monitoring budgets, analysing trends, developing robust processes, and presenting performance reports to senior leaders and the Board.
- Inspire and develop your team, embed a strong health and safety culture, drive service improvements through lessons learned and customer feedback.
- Ensure residents receive a responsive, safe, and high-quality service at every stage of their journey.

What You'll Need
- Significant experience in surveying, disrepair management, property maintenance, or housing repairs within a social housing or property environment.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including Awaab's Law, damp and mould obligations, health and safety requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Experienced leader confident in managing and developing high-performing teams, overseeing budgets, and driving service improvements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to senior leaders, executive teams, and boards.
- Proactive and analytical approach, enabling you to identify trends, manage risk, make sound decisions, and implement effective solutions.
- Passionate about delivering a resident-focused service, committed to continuous improvement, and able to build collaborative relationships across departments and with external partners.
- Relevant technical qualification, management experience, and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
