About the Role

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Surveyor will take principal commercial responsibility for payments, costs and financial control on your assigned sites. You will support the wider Commercial team by providing clear, accurate reporting on financial performance, risks and profitability, ensuring developments are delivered in line with agreed budgets and targets. The role requires a proactive and detail-focused approach, with strong ownership of surveying responsibilities from pre-construction through to completion.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • To produce accurate and realistic estimates, budgets and forecast and cost control measures in line with the competency profile for the role of surveyor
  • To monitor site performance against original plans, budgets and financial targets

About You

You will bring a flexible, proactive and detail-focused approach to your work. The role suits someone motivated to develop their commercial capability and comfortable managing a range of activities that may overlap with traditional Quantity Surveying responsibilities. Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
