Grade: Surveyor / Senior Surveyor

We are seeking a highly motivated Surveyor or Senior Surveyor to join our growing EMEA Data Centre Advisory team in London. This role offers the opportunity to work with leading hyperscalers, colocation providers, institutional investors, developers, and occupiers across the rapidly evolving data centre sector.

The role of a Surveyor / Senior Surveyor within the EMEA Data Centre Advisory team is to provide strategic real estate, development, and transaction advice to occupiers, investors, developers, and operators across the digital infrastructure sector. Working across EMEA, the role supports site selection, acquisitions, disposals, leasing, market analysis, and development advisory assignments, whilst building strong client relationships and contributing to business growth.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

The core responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to:

Advisory & Transaction Support

  • Support and deliver data centre mandates across EMEA.
  • Assist clients with data centre site acquisition / disposal.
  • Provide occupier advisory services, i.e. colocation (leasing of data centres).
  • Conduct market assessments and benchmarking analysis to support client decision-making.
  • Support options assessments, commercial negotiations, and transaction processes.
  • Prepare client reports, presentations, business cases, and market intelligence materials.

Market & Commercial Analysis

  • Work with the Data Centre research and insight team to analyse regional data centre markets, supply pipelines, demand drivers, and investment trends.
  • Evaluate feasibility and conduct demand assessments.
  • Monitor key industry indicators including power availability, fibre connectivity, planning policy, and sustainability considerations.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Participate in business development initiatives and support pitch opportunities.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand strategic objectives and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Represent the business at industry events, conferences, and networking forums.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Capital Markets, Valuation, and other teams across the Collier platform as required.
  • Coordinate with colleagues across EMEA to deliver seamless multi-country advisory services.
  • Share market intelligence and contribute to sector thought leadership initiatives.

Senior Surveyor Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead client engagements and manage complex advisory assignments.
  • Mentor and support junior team members.
  • Take an active role in revenue generation and business development.
  • Contribute to team strategy and sector growth initiatives across EMEA.

KNOWLEDGE

Expertise & Professional Development

  • Degree qualified in Real Estate, Surveying, Property, Economics, or related discipline. MRICS qualified.

Commercial Acumen & Enterprise

  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to understand client drivers while identifying growth opportunities.

Innovative Thinking & Agility

  • Demonstrates curiosity and keeps abreast of digital infrastructure and data centre market trends across EMEA.

Communication & Managing Expectations

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to manage expectations and build credibility with clients and colleagues.
